Since 1992, Florilegium has been evolving from an antiques store specializing in textiles to a fiber studio inspired by antiques.  Our newest store, in Weston, Missouri, is a working studio where the inspirations, materials and techniques used and created are available to all.

Florilegium's owner, Gretchen Nutt, began knitting at age 4 and has picked up every other type of needle since then.
She uses an array of techniques to experiment with fibers and fabrics.

Some of her favorites are:
Knitting
Kumihimo
Crochet
Beadwork
Freeform
Felting
Embroidery
Book Binding
Painting
Dyeing
Ribbonwork
Marbling
Freelace
Needlepoint
Collage
Silk Ribbon Embroidery
and every conceivable combination of these!

Florilegium is dedicated to the proposition that creativity is as essential to life as oxygen and water.  Gretchen believes that "creating"  for the sake of exploring ideas, trying out materials and following our imaginations is enough, and that what we learn from the process is even more valuable than the resulting objects.
Everyday life presents ample opportunities to creatively solve problems, but finding our own special materials and techniques to experiment with...(upon which to impose our own questions and solutions)...elevates this activity to a joy.  Our goal is to find and make as much joy as possible!

McCormick is the oldest distillery in the United States operating at it original site. In 1976, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Lewis and Clark discovered natural limestone springs in the rolling hills of Missouri. By 1830 these pure springs were supplying water to wagon trains heading west. Years later Ben Holladay saw these limestone springs as the ingredient for great whiskey needed to supply the vast number of wagon trains passing through Weston desiring good whiskey. In 1856 he started his distillery.

The McCormick Country Store was relocated to Main Street and sells all McCormick products and gift items; a .25 cent sample bar for customers over 21 years of age. "Many logo gift items are available. Custom gifts are made to order."

McCormick introduces a Vodka with a “Green” state of mind. Our new 360 Vodka is crafted from a philosophy of eco-awareness. Every bottle is quadruple distilled and five times filtered through a highly energy efficient process, with every bushel of grain being fully used and nothing going to waste. The packaging is designed for reusability, the bottled consisting of 85% recycled glass and the labeling is 100% recycled paper.

Spirits cannot be shipped but we are happy to ship any logo items in the store.

Come visit McCormick Country store to find out more about this new vodka and its technology that will not deplete our planet of all its resources.

We offer a variety of artistic expression and media, including oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolor painting; a variety of mixed media and drawings; sculpture; handcrafted jewelry; photography; pottery; glass; fiber art; and more. New artwork is continually introduced throughout the gallery, adding to its freshness and diversity. All of our artists live in the greater Kansas City area and work a few hours each month, giving patrons an opportunity to visit with them about their work.

Northland Exposure Artists' Gallery was founded by a Northland artist, Debbie Pfauth, who opened an art gallery in Smithville, Missouri. In 1999, it was reorganized as a cooperative gallery and moved to a location in downtown Parkville’s English Landing. It later moved to 110 Main Street in Parkville in March of 2005, where it remained until July 24, 2016. The gallery is now located at 519 Main Street in Weston, MO. Over the years, it has grown from a handful of dedicated artist-members to a flourishing art gallery comprised of about 35 artists.
