The restaurant offers a casual, comfortable experience in a unique setting which combines exquisite artwork with great wine and delicious, yet reasonably priced, classic northern Italian, French and German cuisine.
Owner/operators John and Venessa Pottie derived much of their inspiration for the decor and menu from medieval European history and art, as well as John's direct ancestry to Charles the Great ( Charlemagne.) The menu's diversity reflects the expansiveness of the ancient Frankish Empire.
The decor of the restaurant houses the largest privately held collection of woven French silk tapestries. These original works of art created using the handloom punch-card weave technology that was invented in 1801 by Joseph M. Jacquard.
The collection features 50 different artists including: Raphael, Reni, Vassari, David, Doyan, Hamza, Lonza, Ingres, Girardet, Sonrel, Bonheur, Millet, Morgan, Dore, Tarrant, Bechi, Lonza, Wunsch, Kowalsky,
Wagner, Cot & Coomans.

The Vineyards is located in an antebellum home that offers a unique, intimate
dining experience. Specializing in lamb, duck, veal, and The Vineyards
house cut filet of beef tenderloin.
To compliment your meal, we offer a fine wine list inclusive of local wines
from Weston's own award winning Pirtle Winery.
At our place or yours, The Vineyards wants to make your event one-of-a-kind.
We do not have a catering menu. Instead we'd love to create cuisine that
suits you perfectly and has your guests wanting more. If it's a private
dinner for ten or an hors d'oeuvre party for three hundred, we want "you" to

Quality rated by both AAA and Mobil Travel Guides, America Bowman's menu features a great selection of starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. House specialties include cheddar & ale soup, bangers & mash, beef & guinness and fish & chips. Char-grilled steaks, salmon and chicken are favorites in the evening. Each of the three dining rooms offers a unique ambiance. The Keeping Room, reminiscent of a charming country inn, is furnished with long, handcrafted refectory tables with antique oil-fired lamps. Lace curtains hang at the six over six windows. John Georgean's portrait hangs high on the bittersweet wall in the Ordinary. Highlighted by the 19th century quarter-sawn oak furnishings from the first Weston Post Office, this traditional dining room chronicles Weston's heritage and displays a multitude of Public House artifacts, including an antique sherry tun and two small poteen stills. The friendly, chatty atmosphere of the Theater is a favorite of history buffs. A collage of photographs and prints of historic Fort Leavenworth and early Weston adorns the paneled walls. Following your meal on Friday or Saturday evenings, you will surely want to head downstairs to check out the live music in O'Malley's 1842 Pub. It's your trip to Ireland without the airfare. |
