It’s that time of year again in Weston! The 28th annual Weston Lions Club Antique & Collectibles Show is happening this April 23rd & 24th at the Weston Burley Tobacco House on Main Street in Historic Downtown Weston.
Show hours are Friday noon to 8 and on Saturday 8am-5pm.
This event is being cosponsored by the Weston Chamber of Commerce and will be featuring the same great quality vendors as always with a few new highlights. You can shop late Friday evening and enjoy live music while coming across that extraordinary find. The show offers two great concession booths. There will also be a drawing for a Weston Gift Basket for the lucky customer who guesses most accurately the number of antique buttons in an old Mason jar.
So come to Weston and spend the day attending the show and perusing about a dozen antique and collectible shops and over 20 one of a kind specialty shops. All locally owned and operated. We have great restaurants, wineries and a brewery to sate your appetite.
There is so much to see and do that you may choose to spend the night at one of the seven charming B&B’s or at the beautifully restored 1840’s St. George Hotel.
Come enjoy a 28 year tradition at the Weston Lions Club Antique & Collectible Show where you are sure to find a treasure while enjoying walking through a of piece of Weston’s rich history, in a one hundred year old tobacco warehouse. It truly is a unique shopping experience.

WINGS OVER WESTON
It will be two-day event held at Weston Bend State Park with the purpose of raising awareness of the region as an Important Bird Area (IBA) - which is an area of importance to birds that breed here, or depend on the available food and shelter during migration.
Each day we will have bird hikes, demonstrations, booths, games, music, food, and more. Tents and booths will be based at the overlook and shelter areas of the park.
May 7 will be for local 3rd to 5th grade students from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The activities on May 8 will be for the general public and begin at 9 a.m. and last until 6 p.m. We will feature some family activities in addition to the hikes, demonstrations and activities of the previous day.
Both days are free of charge to participants.

The Weston 10 Mile Trail - something new, something different, something extra.
The Weston 10 Mile Trail Antique & Garden Show is fast approaching and is shaping up to be an exciting event. The Weston 10 Mile Trail is a unique concept in antique shows where the show spans a 10 mile area in and around Historic Weston, Missouri. Enjoy the scenic drive to the four premier locations hosting dealers this year: Historic Downtown Weston at Beverlin’s Statuary, Red Barn Farms, Locust Grove Antiques & Interiors and Riverwood Winery.
Admission is free to each of the locations and all will have top quality dealers of antiques, collectibles and garden items. For a new twist on the show this year each of the locations will have food and drink available during the evenings (and some for the day as well) provided by local eating establishments. There will also be entertainment on Friday evening at all four venues. They are adding some artists to the mix this year as well. Area artists will showcase and sell their creations at the Riverwood Winery location.
Come Saturday morning at 9 o'clock to meet the Junk Mafia as they do their “junk in my trunk” radio show live broadcast in downtown Weston. they are heard on 1140 am radio Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Prizes given away every few minutes. Don’t miss out.
So come for the shopping and stay for the entertainment. Make an evening of it and stay over at one of the seven outstanding B&B’s or at the newly renovated St. George Hotel on Main St.

Celebrating 22 years, the Applefest celebration in historic downtown Weston is known throughout the Midwest as one of the best fall festivals in Missouri.
Visitors to Applefest are encouraged to come early on Saturday morning to enjoy Weston’s hometown parade along Main Street. The parade begins at 10:00 am on Saturday. There is ample parking within walking distance to downtown Weston.*
Step back in history and enjoy the time-honored techniques of a Missouri family demonstrating the “lost arts” of Candle and Soap Making, Wood Turning and Carving, Leather Tanning, and Basket Weaving. In addition to the variety of other art and craft booths along the downtown Main Street, you’re also invited to browse the many unique Weston shops during your visit.
And, don’t miss the Garden Harvest Market vendors, with all your festival favorites to eat or to decorate your home for fall. Weston’s famous apple dumplings, apple pies, and cookies will also be available through our local churches. You can catch a quick and tasty bite at our Applefest Food Court or, you might choose to sit down, relax and enjoy the delicious cuisine at one of the several fine restaurants in Weston.
Fun children’s activities both days are planned. New this year on Sunday is a shadow puppet workshop, sponsored by the Puppetry Arts Institute, for children 5 years and up. Drop in between 12:00-1:30 and 2:30-4:00 to make your puppet and try it out on the stage.
There will be live music on Main Street on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. New this year is the whimsical performance of The La La’s, especially for the kids in the crowd will start the entertainment on Saturday.

Free parking is available on the western and northern sides of town. The Applefest event is only six blocks from most parking areas, so visitors can easily walk into town. Please be aware that Weston’s hilly terrain and narrow sidewalks can sometimes be challenging for the disabled to navigate. There is limited handicap accessible parking. Please allow additional time and patience if you are disabled or are accompanying someone who is.
*No shuttle bus transportation will be available Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., due to increased parade traffic congestion.

The eleventh annual Weston Irish Festival opens it's gates Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 8, 9 and 10 at O'Malley's Pub & Courtyard. Great Irish music, piping, dancing, and storytelling, along with traditional Irish food and drinks are what you’ll find at the three-day event.
The festival features musicians from across the U.S., Canada and Ireland. Seventeen local, regional, and national touring acts will perform on the open-air courtyard stage as well as the two indoor pub stages. A fourth stage, adjacent to the courtyard stage, will showcase the pipers and dancers.
The aroma of authentic Irish dishes - corned beef, Irish stew, bangers, and coddle will fill the air along with traditional festival favorites – pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, loaded baked potatoes, apple fritters and more. A full complement of draught ale, stout and lager will be available along with other libations.
