MUSEUM 20755 Lamar Road Weston, Missouri 64098 (816) 386-5587 Life on a farm in the 1800's is preserved for all at the Herbert Bonnell
Museum on the outskirts of Weston. Mr. Bonnell cherished the farm his
family settled on in 1874. Displayed inside the house are the many items
needed to run a household and farm. Outbuildings contain rare objects
and tools from a time when the farm was nearly self-supporting. Bring
a picnic lunch and relax in the meadow or under the trees surrounding
a natural waterfall as you enjoy a simpler time. |

SILK ART MUSEUM (in Charlemagne's Restaurant) Over 150 masterworks are included in this free exhibit. These French
silk tapestries are based on works by major artists primarily from the
19th and 20th centuries, including Raphael, Vassari, Ruben, Miller and
David. This remarkable collection is unduplicated so make certain to

HISTORICAL MUSEUM www.westonhistoricalmuseum.org From rare Native American moccasins to early physician instruments
to vintage clothing displays; the Weston Historical Museum has preserved
local artifacts to enjoy today. Discover what life was like in Platte
County from prehistoric days through World War II. Favorite exhibits
include Civil War relics, a newspaper office, household items, tools,
glassware, china, furniture, historic documents and everyday objects
from the area's past. The 'Nostalgia Store' in the museum features
a variety of books, games and candy. |
